What "Know Your Customer" means

Know Your Customer (KYC) is the standard process by which a financial service confirms that a client is a real, identifiable person, and that the information provided at registration is accurate.

In practice, KYC at Pesagenix means we collect and confirm a small set of basic facts about you: your full legal name, your date of birth, your country of residence, your contact details and the payment method you intend to use. We compare the details you typed into the sign-up form with the details shown on the documents you upload.

What we do not do

Our organization will not request your internet banking credentials, complete card PIN, or system access to your computer. No staff member will ask for these items under any circumstances. Any request for such information originates from an unauthorized third party and should be reported via the misconduct reporting mechanism.

What "anti-money laundering" means

Anti-money laundering (AML) comprises the procedural safeguards and institutional measures a financial services provider implements to ensure its platform cannot facilitate criminal proceeds movement, funding of prohibited activities, or obscuring the actual source of money.

AML protocols extend beyond a single verification event. They encompass account risk assessment, sanctioned entity and high-net-worth individual verification, constraints on unusual deposit behavior, documentation preservation, internal flagging of questionable transactions and, where required by governing legislation, notification to regulatory authorities.

When AML requirements and customer directives are in tension, AML requirements prevail. This may result in transaction postponement, solicitation of supplementary materials, or account limitations until resolution is achieved.

Rationale

Why verification is required

  1. 01

    Legal obligation

Platforms that custody or process client monies are ordinarily mandated to verify client identities prior to service delivery. This requirement is mandatory and applies uniformly across all accounts.

  2. 02

    Protecting your money

Verification connects an account to a single verified owner. It substantially increases resistance to account hijacking, and ensures funds can only exit through payment methods confirmed to be yours.

  3. 03

    Keeping the platform clean

Compliance screening removes sanctioned entities and opaque corporate structures from the platform, which safeguards all other users.

  4. 04

    Faster payouts later

An account that completes verification upfront avoids withdrawal-time checks, eliminating delays when you most need expedited processing.

Documents

Which documents are accepted

We require submission of up to three documentation categories. Submissions must be colour photographs or PDF files, centered completely, unmodified, showing all margins and text in clear view.

1. Identity document

An official identification document featuring your likeness, complete legal name, birth date, identification number and validity expiration. Typical choices include a passport, state identity card, or licensed photographic driving credential. The document must remain current and valid.

2. Proof of address

A recent document, usually issued within the last few months, showing your name and your residential address as it appears on your account. Typical examples are a utility statement, a bank or card statement, a local tax or municipal notice, or an official letter from a public authority. Post-office boxes and addresses belonging to someone else are not accepted.

3. Proof of payment method

Evidence that the funding instrument belongs to you. For a card, that is normally an image of the card showing your name, the first six and last four digits and the expiry date, with the remaining digits and the security code covered. For a transfer from a bank account, that is a statement or confirmation in your name showing the account identifier. For an electronic wallet, a screenshot of the account profile showing your name and the account identifier.

Formats and file size

Upload limits, accepted file types and any additional document requests are shown in the verification area of your account. Documents in a language other than the account language may require a translation; the compliance team will tell you if that applies.

Process

The verification steps

  1. 01

    Register

Register using your actual legal identity, birth date, residence jurisdiction, email and contact number. Discrepancies between registration details and submitted documents represent the principal source of review delays.

  2. 02

    Confirm contact details

Validate your email address and, if applicable, your mobile contact. This verification establishes these contact methods as rightfully yours.

  3. 03

    Upload your identity document

Upload the pages that carry your photograph and personal data. Some checks include a short liveness or selfie step to confirm the document belongs to the person holding it.

  4. 04

    Upload proof of address

Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.

  5. 05

    Confirm the payment method

Supply documentation for the financial vehicle you intend for deposits and disbursements.

  6. 06

    Screening and review

Our compliance team reviews the file, runs the required sanctions and risk screening, and either approves the account or asks for a correction.

  7. 07

    Confirmation

You receive a notification once the account status changes. The current status is always visible in the verification area of your account.

Timing

How long a check takes

Most complete submissions are reviewed within a few hours to a couple of business days. Files that need a second look, a translation or an additional document can take longer.

Review times depend on volume, on the quality of the uploads and on whether any additional screening is triggered. The processing window that applies to your account, together with the current status of each document, is shown in your account area - that published figure is the one to rely on, not any figure quoted elsewhere.

  • Clear, complete, unedited uploads are reviewed fastest.
  • Requests submitted outside business hours are queued for the next working day.
  • Enhanced review, where required, adds time and is communicated to you.
Troubleshooting

Why a check can be rejected

A denial typically reflects a documentation deficiency, not an assessment of your character. The majority of cases receive approval following resubmission.

ReasonHow to fix it
Image blurred, cropped or glare-coveredRe-shoot in daylight, flat on a dark surface, all four corners visible.
Document expiredUpload a currently valid document.
Name or date of birth does not match the accountCorrect the account details, or explain a legal name change with supporting proof.
Proof of address too old or not in your nameProvide a recent qualifying document issued to you at your registered address.
Payment method belongs to a third partyUtilize payment instruments bearing your name exclusively - payments from other parties are not permissible.
File edited, cropped to hide data, or a screenshot of a screenSubmit an unmodified original image or PDF.
Residence in an excluded jurisdictionThe account cannot be established; consult our licensing information for additional context.

Should a determination lack clarity, reach out to our support team requesting clarification. Where permissible by regulation, explanation will be furnished.

Ongoing controls

Ongoing transaction monitoring

Verification represents an ongoing obligation. Account conduct and fund movements remain subject to review throughout the business relationship.

What is monitored

Funding and withdrawal patterns, changes of payment instrument, changes of country or contact details, activity that does not match the profile you gave at sign-up, and any activity flagged by our screening tools.

What can happen as a result

  • A request for refreshed documents or an explanation of the source of funds.
  • A limited-duration suspension of a particular transaction pending assessment.
  • Adjustment of the limits published in your account.
  • Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.

Records

Personal identification records and transaction documentation are safeguarded for the mandated duration following relationship termination, consistent with our Privacy Policy. Certain legal circumstances restrict our capacity to inform clients of filed reports.

Your side

Your obligations

  • Give accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.
  • Use only your own funds and your own payment instruments - never someone else's.
  • Maintain a sole account and secure your login information.
  • Respond to document requests within the timeframe stated in the request.
  • Tell us promptly if you change country of residence, legal name or payment method.
  • Promptly alert us to any indication of illegal entry into your account.

Furnishing forged or altered identification materials constitutes a grave violation. It triggers account termination and, where mandatory under applicable statute, reporting to the appropriate regulator.

Support

Where to ask questions

Before you proceed with another upload, contact us if you need clarification on anything presented here or wish to understand the precise verification status of your account.

Who reviews my documents?

A trained compliance reviewer. Files are stored on restricted systems, and access is limited to staff who need it for the check.

Can I start before I am verified?

You can register and explore the account, but funding, trading and withdrawals depend on the verification status published in your account.

Do I have to verify again later?

It's possible. As part of standard AML compliance procedures, we may request updated documents since they can expire and addresses may change over time. Should a refresh be necessary, we will reach out to you.

How do I contact the compliance team?

Use the contact route on our contact page and mention "KYC" or "verification" in your message, together with the email address on your account. Please do not send document images by unsecured channels - upload them in the account area instead.

Licenses & regulatory information

Before you upload

Get verified once, cleanly

Ninety per cent of delays come from three things: a blurred photo, an out-of-date address document, and a payment method in someone else's name. Fix those and most checks pass first time.

Need help with a document?

Our support team can tell you exactly which file was rejected and why.

  • Check the verification area of your account first.
  • Then contact support with your registered email address.
